(Disney, 1946/R-56) A U.S. half-sheet poster for the 1956 rerelease of the animated/live action film, Song of the South. Considered superior to the poster styles from the film's first release, this half-sheet spotlights the smash hit Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah in the tagline, features a large head-and-shoulders shot of James Baskett in his Oscar-winning role as Uncle Remus, and depicts Br'er Rabbit and company up to their trademark hi-jinx. Folded as issued, the poster measures 22"x28" and is in good condition with edge and corner tears repaired with cello tape (discolored) and clear tape to the reverse, clear tape reinforcement to the folds on the reverse, an upper right edge chip, and corner wear.
