(Disney, 1958) A vintage "Zorro Action Spring Target" Game manufactured by Knickerbocker. Released contemporaneously with the debut of the Walt Disney Production, the game consists of a die-cut cardboard "Cuartel de Los Angeles" and pair of plastic stands. When Sgt. Garcia is hit, a die-cut Zorro astride Tornado "leaps" through the large faux wooden metal-hinged doors. While the original plastic gun and darts are absent, the set includes (2) TootsieToy brand double-barrel derringer dart pistols, (12) rubber tipped plastic darts, four of which are missing a portion of the tip, (2) additional unrelated rubber darts, and (4) vintage plastic police guard targets on semi-circular wobble bases come with the set. Measuring 13"x19", the barracks playset and all other items are housed in the original cardboard box packaging. The game is in good condition with some black ring soiling, spot and strip surface loss, damp staining, and clear tape applied over the door hinges, and brown duct tape partially adhering the backing to the board. The box is in fair condition with brown toning, damp staining and warping, surface loss, tears, creasing, and splitting to the corners.
