(20th Century Fox, 1974) An original painting used in the opening title sequence for the iconic Mel Brooks comedy horror film, Young Frankenstein. In an effort to pay tribute to the 1930s version of Frankenstein, the film was shot in black and white and used an older style of hand-painted titles on glass. This artwork features the name Kenneth Mars, who played Inspector Kemp in the film. The title is painted in acrylic on glass over a reproduction printed background. The artwork has a display size of 17.5"x27.5" within its 23.75"x33.75" frame. It is in very good condition with minor wear and some discoloration to the acrylic paint from age.
