Win Butler’s signed prop electric bass guitar played in the 2017 music video for the lead single from Arcade Fire’s chart-topping album, “Everything Now.” The bass has been spray painted primer gray over the contoured double-cutaway body, head stock, and tuning machines.

The logo of Everything Now Corp., the fictional soulless conglomerate that was a central component in both the concept and marketing of the album, is stenciled at the bottom right. In the video, Butler and the band wear matching gray Everything Now-branded coveralls and play instruments, painted the same industrial gray, during performance scenes shot in the desert scrub of Death Valley, California. After production, Butler signed the bass in orange felt pen on the body at lower left.

An instantly recognizable piece for fans of the influential indie rock band, the instrument exhibits wear from its prominent screen use, such as scratches and scrapes to the gray paint, most concentrated on the back of the body and some adhesive residue at upper left. A black textured faux leather covered hard shell case measuring 15.5”x49” and 4” deep is included, which exhibits scuffs and surface wear from use.
