(Disney, 1961) An extremely rare cigar that was personally given by Walt Disney to celebrate the birth of his grandson, Walter Elias Disney Miller. Walt had always wanted a grandson to carry his name. However, when his daughter Diane Disney Miller became pregnant with her first son, she felt it would be very difficult to carry that same name, which is so well known throughout the world. She named her first son Christopher, and would later recount, "I didn't realize at the time how hurt my Dad was that I named him Christopher. It never occurred to him that it would be a tough thing for a grandson to carry his name." Eight years later, Diane had another son, and to Walt's delight, named him Walter Elias Disney Miller. In celebration, Walt had cigars made with custom labels that read, "It's a Grand... Son! Walter Elias Disney Miller, November 14, 1961, 8 lbs. 11oz." This cigar was personally given by Walt to Disney Studios publicist Tom Wilck. It comes with a signed letter from Wilck detailing the provenance of the item. Also included is a copy of "E" Ticket Magazine featuring the interview with Diane, where she mentions that Walt passed out these cigars after her son was born. The cigar is unused, still within the outer 6" long container. The condition is very good, with a few small dents near the tip of the container and wear to the label.
