(Walt Disney Studios, c.1950s-60s) Arguably the most coveted award that Disney could bestow, the Mousecar is a prestigious in-house award given to those who have performed exceptional service to Walt Disney Productions. Beginning in 1947, Walt Disney gave the first Mousecar to his brother Roy Disney, and since then, recipients have included Louis Armstrong, Bernie Cobb, Marc Davis, The Sherman Brothers, and more. This Mousecar was awarded to Director and Film Maker Robert (Bob) Stevenson, and reads, "With thanks and appreciation for your many contributions - Mickey". The bronze-colored Mickey Mouse is accomplished in metal over a wooden base, and measures 5" in diameter and 9" high. This award is in very good condition and has been repaired at the legs.
