(Walt Disney Studios, 1948-51) A large collection of inter-office communication from Walt Disney Productions. These documents originally come from the collection of Milt Banta, long-time story artist at Walt Disney Productions, and several of the documents contain his small notes. These documents provide a fascinating look at the creation of animated shorts at the studio between 1948 and 1951. The documents are contained within Banta's brown file-folder and include: 20 sheets relating to audience reactions to a storyboard showing of the unproduced short Hootsie the Owl, 4 small sheets of production costs over time for the short Little Fir Tree signed by Harry Tytle, 25 sheets of the various costs of production for a variety of short films that were in development such as "Duck Story #7" and "Goof Story #8", 5 sheets of reactions to a storyboard viewing for One Man Dog, a sheet describing the production costs for How to Train a Dog, 4 sheets listing the reactions to a showing of Unsilent Night, 2 sheets of sequence descriptions for the feature film Cinderella, and 2 pages of approved credits to appear on screen for various shorts. This incredible collection of inter-office communication provides a wealth of information from a unique time in Walt Disney Productions history, and measures 14.75"x10" within its outer folder. The condition is very good overall with expected wear from its initial use.
