(Walt Disney Studios, 1938/60s) A typed supplement to a lecture of animated film effects that was given by Bob Martsch of the Walt Disney Studios on June 15, 1938. Martsch worked in the Animation Department at the Disney studio for films such as "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "Pinocchio". By June of 1938, new techniques were being developed at the Walt Disney Studios at an incredible rate, and documents such as these were used to help acquaint Disney's talented staff with the terms and procedures they would need to be familiar with. This supplement includes information of various mechanical, animated, painted, and airbrushed effects and how these effects are accomplished, as well as examples of productions in which these techniques had been used. The 9-page document measures 11"x8.5" and is in very good condition with some notation in pencil on the bottom left-hand corner and minimal edge-wear. While the original supplement was created in 1938, this document is believed to have been reproduced in-house from the earlier copy in the 1960s.
