(Disney, c.1964) A rare hand-annotated stage/film script for Walt Disney's presentation on the development of the Progressland 1964 World's Fair attraction for sponsor General Electric's management conference. The 13-page staple-bound copy script features Walt introducing his revolutionary Audio-Animatronic technology and explaining the innovative Carousel Theater design. Disney Legends Wathel Rogers, John Hench, and Claude Coats make cameos. The film was intended to be introduced by a live host on stage at the conference, and the script includes dialogue for a winking interplay between the host and Walt. This working draft bears hand-annotation in red and graphite pencil notating line changes, omissions, and reorganization. Measuring 11"x8.5", the piece is in very good condition with some faint darkening, scuffing, and corner and edge wear. An interesting artifact from a Disney film created only for private exhibition, the piece offers a first glimpse at some of the most important and tide-turning technical advancements made in the history of the company.
