(Celebrity Productions, 1935) An extremely rare original stone lithographic one-sheet poster for Ub Iwerks' "The Brementown Musicians." Iwerks left the Disney Studio in 1930 to run his own studio for Disney's rival Pat Powers. From 1933-1935, he produced a series of “ComiColor Cartoons” shot in Power's Cinecolor process, similar to the Silly Symphonies being released by Disney. There were 25 shorts released in this series and distributed by Powers’ Celebrity Pictures. Iwerks personally designed much of the ComiColor advertising material, including this one-sheet. Measuring 41”x26.75”, the poster is in very good condition and presents beautifully. It has been professionally linen-backed for preservation with sensitive expert restoration in the blank borders and some retouching to the original folds.
