(Disneyland, c.1957-59) A wooden sign featuring a colorful explorer's map of "Tom Sawyer Island" that is mounted to wood. The sign was used in Frontierland approximately between 1957 and 1959. The map lists Tom and Huck's Tree House as the "highest point in Disneyland", a title which it held until the construction of the "Matterhorn". Measuring approximately 16"x28" and 1.5" thick, the sign is in good condition with expected wear throughout from park use. There is some chipping to the top corners of the wood.
