(Ward, 1964-65) The presentation board for the original “George of the Jungle” concept. As first conceived by Allan Burns and Chris Hayward, George was the dim-witted son of an affluent English family who sent him away to live in the jungle for the sake of their own sanity. After Burns and Hayward left the studio, Bill Scott re-worked the concept to the beloved series it became. Accomplished in mixed media with a character image size of 5.5” x 4” on an 11” x 14” sheet of craft paper, the presentation board displays in very good condition with edge wear, a 0.5” crease to the upper left corner, and some discoloration from age.
