(Disney, 1980s) A one-of-a-kind concept model for a never-realized theme park attraction about Jack Warner, the influential studio mogul who oversaw the rise of Warner Brothers. Titled"The Jack Warner Story" and housed in a studio-style soundstage, the proposed attraction chronicled the film executive's storied life and career, with scenes including a carnival-style electric theatre, a film set, a musical section with five pianos, a movie theater, a recording studio, and a "77 Sunset Strip" television set. This model was likely created when Disney was considering a movie-centric theme park, which would become Disney-MGM Studios, and showcases Imagineering's highly detailed craftsmanship when pitching and developing their attractions. Measuring 26" x 46" x 12" tall, including its case, the mixed-media model displays in good condition with material loss, scrapes, loose pieces, warping, wear, and separation in the wooden rafters. This lot requires special shipping arrangements. Please inquire before bidding.
