(EPCOT/The Ellen DeGeneres Show, 1996/2018) The animatronic skin and costume of the Ellen DeGeneres figure in Ellen’s Energy Adventure, and the mannequin it appeared with on the Ellen DeGeneres show in 2018. The primeval diorama in this attraction featured an Audio-Animatronic figure of Ellen which was removed when it stopped working in 2014. The attraction was closed in 2017, and in January of 2018 the writers on The Ellen DeGeneres Show surprised her with this figure on air. With the skin removed from its animatronic frame and stretched over this mannequin, it gave the already aging likeness an appearance that Ellen herself described as looking “like Annabelle’s mother.” Included are the original head skin of the Imagineering-produced Ellen figure, with its red shirt and pants worn in the attraction. The mannequin, hair, and blue denim shirt are from its appearance on the 2018 television show and later viral uses by the staff. Standing 63” tall, the figure is 4 inches shorter than Ellen herself. The clothes, mannequin, and hair are in very good condition with wear from handling. The animatronic latex skin is in fair to good condition for its age, with large cracks at the neck, much wear to the eyelids and mouth, and large cracks in the scalp. This item is not for the faint of heart, and requires special shipping arrangements, please consult before bidding.
