(Disneyland, 1956) A rare Vol. 1 No. 12 of "The Disneyland News". This periodical was published within Disneyland itself and helmed by its newly appointed Editor in Chief, Marty Sklar. These incredible early newspapers not only served to offer park guests the latest information on the park and its features, but it also heavily supported the theme of Main Street being a functioning small town. The headline for this issue is "New Rides Open in June!" with a photo of Walt Disney looking over plans for Fort Wilderness on Tom Sawyer Island. The 12-page newspaper measures 15.75"x11.25" and the condition is good with some yellowing and edge-wear from use and age.
