A personalized August 1956 issue of the Disneyland News published within Disneyland itself and helmed by newly appointed Editor in Chief, Marty Skylar. These incredible early newspapers not only served to offer the guests the latest information on the park and its features, but it also heavily supported the theme of Main Street, USA through the idea of its own town newspaper. So much so, that for the first decade, young "newsboys" or "newsbutches" were often seen throughout Main Street and the Main Gate peddling the papers by hand from sacks over their shoulders. This particular issue features western movie stars, Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.
This is a "personalized" issue, where guests could have the headlines custom printed with any heading of their desire by the Disneyland News Print Shop on Main Street, USA.
Early ephemera such as this is scarce.
12 pages. Small rips and tears around edges of pages, and a yellowing to the paper.
