(Disney, c.1950s) A collection of (5) building forms from the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office which pertain to Walt Disney's Carolwood home. These forms list details on the building of his house, a porch, a workshop, and both the train tracks and tunnel for his Carolwood Railroad. Walt was inspired to build his own backyard railroad after seeing the railroads of animators Ward Kimball and Ollie Johnston. Walt's own railroad, listed on these forms as having approximately 2600ft of track, was the original inspiration behind the iconic Disneyland Railroad which surrounds the park. Each of these forms has a hand-drawn diagram of the building on the reverse, and includes details on the value of each addition and the materials used. These forms are a unique piece of Disney history which offer a rare glimpse into the development of Walt's home. Measuring 9"x4" each, the forms are in fair to good condition with some wear from age and use. There are multiple staple marks and tape residue on the form pertaining to the main home.
