(Disneyland, 1950s-1960s) Rare Conductors hat badge for the Santa Fe and Disneyland Railroad. In 1954, the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway became the sponsor of the Disneyland trains for the new park. Walt Disney, a train enthusiast, worked closely with the company to design a very authentic uniform for his cast-members and that included hat badges very similar to what were used on Santa Fe’s Trains. This particular badge came into use in the late 1950s and was used until Santa Fe ceased sponsorship in 1974. Measuring 4”x1.75”, the badge comes with Authentic Santa Fe hat pins and Disneyland U.S.A. buttons. In very good condition with some wear to metal and paint.
