(Lincoln/Huntington, 1921) A pair of autograph cards signed by Robert Todd Lincoln and Henry Huntington. When Helen Hull Monnette was born in 1920, her father Orra Eugene Monnette wanted to do something special for his young daughter. Orra sent cards bearing Helen’s name to people of note from that time period, asking them to sign the cards and send them back in the provided return envelope. Robert Todd was the first son of President Abraham Lincoln, and Huntington was a railroad magnate whose art and book collection became the Huntington Library in San Marino, California. Each measuring 2.5" x 3.75", the Lincoln autograph card displays in very good condition, while the Huntington card is in fair condition with the top right corner torn. Both cards show wear on the back from previous gluing in an album.
