(EPCOT Center, 1981-82) An incredible collection of production files for Horizons. These production files include extensive notes working out how to build and film the massive models required for the three endings of the Horizons attraction. The models for Horizons were some of the biggest ever built at the time. For example, the desert sequence model measured 32 by 75 feet and was constructed and filmed in a hangar at Burbank Airport near Walt Disney Imagineering. These files assembled by special effects artist David Jones include original sketches of spaceships and other scene elements, photos of models under construction, extensive notes working out both how to build and film the models for Horizons, and even fabric samples for spaceship model interiors. Measuring 8.5"x 14" and various sizes under, each piece is in good to very good condition, with some light fading and wear to edges and corners from original production handling and age. This is an amazing overview of the creation of a fondly remembered Disney attraction.
