(Disneyland, 1954) An early concept drawing for what would become the "Space Station X-1" attraction in Tomorrowland. Ryman was one of Walt's first Imagineers and was the artist responsible for creating some of the earliest concept artwork for the park, including the first aerial view of the entire park which was used by Disney to secure financing for his project. Ryman's original concept designs for the park are some of the most sought after artifacts in Disneyland collecting, and this particular piece is a perfect example of the style and artistry that made Ryman a favorite among collectors as well as of Walt Disney himself. Accomplished in graphite, ink, and colored marker, the artwork is titled "Cyclorama Lobby" and features a beautiful illustration of the attraction with many notes describing the attraction's components. The entire piece measures 12.5"x30" and is in very good condition with a faint vertical fold line in the center and minor edge-wear.
