(Disneyland, c.1954) An original concept drawing created by Imagineer Bruce Bushman for Disneyland's "Alice in Wonderland" walk-through attraction. While an "Alice in Wonderland" attraction did open in Fantasyland in 1958, original early plans for the park included a walk-through version of the attraction based on several key scenes from the film. Due in part to time and budgetary issues prior to the park's opening, the walk-through version was delayed and eventually evolved into the ride-through version which many are familiar with today. Accomplished in graphite on thin artist's paper, this drawing features the iconic "drink me" bottle on a large table in what was tentatively called the "Forced Perspective Room". This drawing measures 23.25"x18" and is in very good condition with minor tears in the bottom corners. There is a thin strip of tape adhered to the top-edge.
