(Green, 1995) An original caricature painting by renowned illustrator Peter Green. The painting depicts the prominent figures of the O.J. Simpson murder trial. The trial took the world by storm, with news and media outlets largely covering this significant case. Radio personality Rick Dees frequently covered the trial on his program, and his team reached out to Green to create this artwork for promotional use during the trial. Due to the size of the artwork and the popularity of the trial, Green suggested they go even further and create an entire tabloid on the court case with this artwork as a center foldout. The project became the popular and quickly sold-out "National O.J." magazine, of which this artwork is featured as a centerfold. Accomplished in marker and watercolor over printed linework with applied elements on art board mounted to foamcore, the image measures 26.5"x24" on the 31.25"x25.75" foamcore and is in very good condition, with some lifting to the applied elements.
