(World's Fair, 1964-65) A large sign created for the New York World's Fair in 1964. For the duration of the fair, signs such as this one could be found decorating the Willets Point Blvd. station, which was the main subway station used for entry. A sign such as this one would have been one of the first indicators for guests on their way to experience It's a Small World or the Carousel of Progress that they had arrived at their destination. Measuring 11.75"x72.5", the sign is in in good condition with moderate scratching and scuffing to the surface throughout consistent with use. There is some chipping and peeling to the wooden board backing, and some minor impact damage to the metal sign.
