(Disneyland, 1955) An original Disneyland cast member ID badge created for Milt Albright, one of the earliest park employees. The earliest metal badges assigned each cast member a number. Walt Disney himself was number 1, and each subsequent employee was numbered sequentially higher. Officially designated as employee number 10, Albright was one of the park's first employees, initially hired as the manager of accounting. Albright moved on to manage the short-lived Holidayland as well as Group Sales, where he started the groundbreaking Magic Kingdom Club program. This rare metal badge is the lowest number of the original ID badges that we've ever seen offered for public sale. Albright's badge was mounted in lucite along with his signature as a retirement gift. Measuring 2.5"x5.75" and 1" deep within the lucite, this incredible artifact of Disneyland history is in good condition with some scuffing and scratching to the surface of the lucite, particularly on the reverse, and some tarnishing to the metal badge from use and age. Included with the badge is a letter of provenance written and signed by Albright's son.
