(Disneyland, 1955) A spectacular hand-painted drumhead used in the Circus Band at the "Mickey Mouse Club Circus". The 26" diameter skin drumhead is hand-painted with the "Mickey Mouse Club Circus" logo. The drumhead split during a performance and was quickly repaired and repainted by Roy Williams, until a replacement could be ordered. On the back of the drumhead is written the instruction "replace with plastic - $32.00" and the names of the Clown Band at Disneyland. These names include the band leader Dick Winslow, George Landier, Eddie Stoll, and George DeRubeis. This item measures approximately 26" in diameter and is in fair to good condition, with some wear and spots of discoloration throughout from use. The painted tape in the center has lifted slightly from the drum, but the overall piece still remains a great artifact from a very short-lived attraction.
