(Walt Disney World, 1967) An extremely rare compilation of documents and articles assembled by Imagineer and Disney Legend Marty Sklar. This collection was prepared as a background and starting point for Imagineers as they developed the "Disneyland-style theme park in Disney World." The binder contains a copy of Walt's 1953 descriptions of Disneyland, articles on Disneyland, interviews with Walt, and various other text materials to illuminate Walt's thinking and philosophy for the Walt Disney World project, in the wake of his death. Each section of the binder includes a header section in which Sklar explains why the articles or transcripts were chosen. The binder provides incredible insight into how the company attempted keep Walt's vision alive as they moved forward after his death. This particular binder is titled "Marty Sklar's copy" on the cover and is stamped by WED Enterprises. Measuring 11.5"x10", the 96-page binder is in good condition with some wear from age and use. The cover of the binder shows moderate wear, with some staining and residue across the cover.
