(Walt Disney Studios, 1943) Milt Banta joined the Disney Studio in the early 1940s. He was an assistant animator at first but later became a writer, and is credited on several shorts as well as "Alice In Wonderland", "Peter Pan", and "Sleeping Beauty". He also wrote and illustrated several Golden Books in the early 1950s. This amazing collection of (30) paintings by animators at the studio given to Milt Banta as a wedding gift in 1943. It was a tradition at the studio for the artists to constantly draw and share caricatures of other artists as well as their original artwork. When a special occasion would arise, more thought-out and detailed pieces were the norm. These original pieces of artwork, all on 12.5"x15" pegged heavy paper, include artworks by Bill Justice, John Lounsbery, Les Clark, Jesse Marsh, Fred Moore, and others. An amazing archive of artwork from some of the best artists at the studio during the war.
