(Columbia Pictures, 1933) An extremely rare original one sheet poster from Charles Mintz's Krazy Kat short "Wedding Bells." Mintz, known as the man that fired Walt Disney (and in effect, forced Disney to create Mickey Mouse), reinvented the Krazy Kat character (a popular subject of comics and animation since the 1920s) in the 1930s to compete with Disney's Mickey Mouse. This short was animated by future Disney Legends Preston Blair and Al Eugster. Measuring 40.75”x27”, the poster is in very good condition and presents beautifully. It has been professionally linen backed with sensitive expert restoration to the blank borders and studio statement at bottom right, as well as retouching to the original folds, and minor spot touch-up in the artwork. These conservation efforts have preserved the scarce one sheet for years to come.
