(21st Century Film Corp., 1980) A set of 12 hand-molded preliminary character models sculpted by Stephen Chiodo for “I Go Pogo,” the 1980 stop-motion feature adapted from Walt Kelly’s popular Pogo comic strip. Figures included are busts of Pogo, Churchy La Femme, Porky Pine, Howland Owl, Beauregard the hound, Albert Alligator, Miz Beaver, Deacon Mushrat, Mole, and Wiley Catt. Also included are a bust and a full figure of one of the identical trio of bats named Bewitched, Bothered, and Bemildred. Measuring from 2” to 3.25” tall, the figures modeled in clay are in good to very good condition, with wear typical of production use and age. Howland Owl’s ears and glasses are separated but included, and the Churchy La Femme bust is broken at his neck. The lot includes an extra pair of sculpted arms.
