(Simon and Schuster, 1948) A rare hardcover of Albert Hurter's "He Drew as he Pleased" featuring over 700 of his inspirational drawings created for the Walt Disney Studio. Albert Hurter joined the Walt Disney Studio in 1932. He was the first inspirational sketch artist hired at the Studio, and his artwork was influential in the stylizing of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" and "Pinocchio", as well as much more. Seven years after his death, in 1941, his close friend Ted Sears compiled a book of his sketches. This rare book is considered a must-have for anyone interested in animation and has become one of the harder animation books to come by. This book measures 12.25"x9.25" and the book itself is in very good condition with minor wear, while the original dust jacket has some tearing and wear throughout.
