(Disneyland, 1967-1999) Beautiful Disneyland Mark VII Autopia Vehicle, custom restored by collector Kevin Doherty. The Mark VII vehicles went into service at Disneyland in 1967, and were removed from the attraction in 1999, though the original chassis are still used today. This Mark VII fiberglass body was obtained by Doherty, and custom modified for the Premier Party to celebrate Bob Gurr’s Book, “Design, Just For Fun”. Imagineer Bob Gurr is the designer of the Disneyland Autopia vehicles in addition to numerous other Disneyland ride vehicles. Placed on a custom-built chassis, this Mark VII includes working head and tail lights, and a reproduction classic leather seat belt. Doherty also converted the rear engine compartment into a "mini bar", complete with a sound system and ice chest. The vehicle was often utilized at parties attended by Bob Gurr and other Imagineers. To show his approval, the vehicle has been hand-signed by Gurr and nicknamed "The Gurrtini" after Gurr's favorite drink. The car measures 105"x45"x34" and is in very fine condition. Special shipping arrangements will apply.
