(Disneyland, c.1977) A collection of (5) original paintings and (10) drawings created for a Main Street window display based on Disney's animated feature film, "The Rescuers". This set of artwork depicts the scenes for those window displays, which highlight some of the most memorable moments of the feature film. The drawings are primarily accomplished in red and black ink on vellum, while the paintings are accomplished in acrylic on sturdy artist's boards. This set of original artwork provides a very rare look at the process used to design the window displays on Main Street, as very little of the design artwork survives today. The artwork varies slightly in size, but most drawings measure approximately 15"x17" with some much larger, and the paintings measure approximately 16"x20". This collection of original artwork is in very good condition with some wear throughout from use.
