(Disneyland, 1967) An incredible WED Imagineering file copy of Marty Sklar's suggested text for the first Club 33 brochure. Dated March 8th, 1967, two months before the Club's opening, the document explains the origins of the Club as well as some of the special features available to members. The entrance of the Club is described as an art gallery with an exclusive opening showing of Walt Disney's personal collection Heinrich Kley Art. Also described is a "Trophy Room" where audio-animatronic animal "trophies" come to life with a show that can be customized for the guests. Membership benefits such as Disney's "Red Carpet Program" for corporate guests as well as the ability of members to rent the Tahitian Terrace or Blue Bayou are also described. Consisting of a cover page and 14 typewritten pages, Sklar's description of the Club and its features gives us an inside look into the early history of what has become an iconic part of Disneyland. Measuring 11"x8.5", the document is in good condition with expected wear from age and use.
