(Chicago Coin Machine Co., 1976) The original backglass from a Chicago Coin's Cinema pinball machine cabinet. The piece consists of a pane of glass which is back-painted with vignettes of classic Hollywood personalities, films, and film genres by artist Lloyd Rognan, including Laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chaplin and Jackie Coogan from The Kid, Leslie Howard and Ann Harding from The Animal Kingdom (representing "romance"), a Cleopatra-like scene of exotic antiquity, a swashbuckling pirate, and a cowboy on horseback. A vintage International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers "Union Made" sticker is applied at upper right. Measuring 23"x26" visible through a 24.5"x27.5" glossy black wood frame, the backglass is in very good condition with some stray paint chips at upper right, chipping in the title box, and chipping along the bottom edge.
