(Disneyland, 1980s-1990s) An original painting of Disneylnd's Main Street Train Station and Floral Mickey display, by Disneyland Legend Charles Boyer. Charles Boyer (1935-2021) took a temporary job as a pastel artist at Disneyland in 1960, but his career with Disney lasted for 39 years. Boyer became the first full-time artist for Disneyland, later elevated to "Disneyland's master illustrator." He created artwork for magazines and brochures, as well as nearly 50 different lithographs that embody some of the warmest, most colorful, and best-remembered depictions of Disneyland. Created for a Limited Edition lithograph of only 150 prints, this beautiful original painting brings to life a family's first visit to Disneyland, dressed in apparel suggesting the earliest years of the Park. Mickey and Minnie pose with them while Goofy and Donald take their portrait before Floral Mickey in the most photographed spot in the world. The Disneyland Railroad's Ernest S. Marsh is about to leave the station for a grand, circular tour of the Magic Kingdom. In a beautiful frame measuring 30" x 38" with a visible image of 18" x 25.75", Boyer accomplished the painting on artist board in acrylic paint with watercolor accents, and signed in the lower right corner. This one-of-a-kind work of art is in fine condition.
