(Imagineering, 1970s-80s) A one-of-a-kind pair of foot forms used in Imagineering to create the oversized feet for the Uncle Orville character in Disneyland's Carousel of Progress. Orville is seen in the show’s 1920s scene smoking a cigar while taking a bath with his oversized feet sticking up above the tub’s edge. These two forms were used at Imagineering to make “hot melt” molds that would be used to cast the rubber feet seen in the show. The fiberglass feet have some detailed sculpting added, and come apart at seams that will be used for the maintenance of the final figure. Measuring 12” x 15.5” each, the feet are in very good condition, with wear typical of production use.
