(Walt Disney Studios, 1993) A cement block containing the handprints and signature of Disney Legend Carl Barks. Hired at the Walt Disney Studios in 1935, Barks contributed to the stories of various shorts, including those of Donald Duck. Beginning in 1942, Barks began working on comic books featuring Donald, and later created the iconic character Scrooge McDuck. Barks worked on comics relating to the Duck Family for over 25 years, and helped define the humor, style, and legacy of these historic cartoon characters. This cement imprint of Barks' hands and his signature within the cement provide a lasting reminder of his artistry and contributions to The Walt Disney Studios. Dated 1993, the cement measures approximately 18"x27" and 3" deep. The condition is very good with minor surface wear from previous display.
