(United Feature, 1982) An original drawing and hand-written letter from Burne Hogarth concerning the "Tarzan" comic book series. Hogarth worked as an illustrator for the comic book series between 1937-45, and then again from 1947-50. This letter is in response to a request from a fan that asked for an autograph on a "Tarzan" comic that Hogarth pokes fun of as "A: not drawn by me and B: not even written by Burroughs". This humorous letter includes a hand-drawn Tarzan that was trimmed from a larger sheet and applied to the letter. The paper used for the letter is official National Cartoonists Society letterhead, with Hogarth's signature at the bottom and the date of Aug 24, 1982. Measuring 11"x8.5", the letter is in very good condition with minor edge-wear, and faint fold lines from when the letter was originally mailed.
