(Ralph Helfer's Africa U.S.A., 1960s) An original theme park concept drawing by Bruce Bushman. In the 1960s Ralph Helfer explored the idea of expanding his Soledad Canyon, CA animal training and filming location into a theme park. Bushman, well-known for his early concepts for Disneyland, created this depiction of a Jungle Cruise-style ride. The art is accomplished in pencil and watercolor on translucent paper. Included are two brown line prints of the art, one signed by Bushman. Measuring 19" x 24", the original art is in very good condition with wear from original production use, handling, and age. The prints are both 19" x 24" with the unsigned one in good condition with small creases throughout and edge wear, and the signed print very good with light wear from handling and age.
