(Disney, 1985) Character development drawings of Gurgi from “The Black Cauldron” by Disney Legend Andreas Deja. This film is the earliest Supervising Animator credit for Deja, who would do the same for villains Gaston, Jafar, Scar, and Mickey Mouse in “The Prince and the Pauper.” Accomplished in pen, pencil, and copic marker, the art has an image size of 10.75” x 9.25” on 12.5” x 15.5” animation paper and is in good production-used condition with some discoloration from display.
