(Archie McPhee, 1990s) The only Strawberry Jabba Jam known to still exist. In the 1990s, toy retailer Archie McPhee acquired a huge lot of Kenner Jabba the Hutt action figure heads. Known for offering unusual and kitschy toys like “A Fez Full of Pez,” McPhee offered the heads in jars with plastic fruit as “Makin’ Jam” kits. According to their own web site, they never sold a single set, and they were lost to history or perhaps a forgotten corner of their warehouse. It’s believed a few may have shipped out in their grab bag “Super Awesome Boxes,” which would explain how a Mandarin Orange Makin’ Jabba Jam turned up in Japan, and now this Strawberry version here. Be the first - and only! - Star Wars collector on your block to include one in your collection! The 4” diameter x 4.25” high jar is in very good condition with light handling wear, and the Jabba head and 10 plastic strawberries are in fine condition.
