(Disneyland/Walt Disney World, 1970s- 90s) A collection of 93 cassettes including master recordings of Park music and performances, Cast Member training tapes, as well time capsule recordings of Park parades, attractions, and more. Cassettes with typed labels include extensive Space Mountain recordings, radio ads, and audio for training slide shows including how to act while appearing in costume as Mickey Mouse in the Parks. The in Park music tracks for many venues are included, such as the Pinocchio Village Haus, Main Street Cinema, and Polynesian Hotel. The hand-labelled cassettes include ambient audio recorded in Disneyland as early as 1970 of Guests interacting, Fantasy on Parade, the Mine Train Thru Nature’s Wonderland, and even the announcement made in the Park only on the day after Roy O. Disney passed away in 1971. Beyond these are many non-Disney ambient recordings including traffic, the ocean, and inside a casino. There are many more recordings of all types included here. This collection truly must be heard to be believed. Also included is a two-CD tribute to Jack Wagner, “The Voice of Disneyland,” who is also heard in many of these cassettes. The collection is stored in five cassette albums each measuring 12” x 9.75” x 1.25”. The cassettes are overall in very good condition, with some labels loose from age, and a few cassettes observed with the tape separated at one end, requiring repair to function properly. The CD is in very good condition, with slight damage to the center spindle of the case only.
