(Disney, 1930s-40s) An early character development sketch of Captain Hook for “Peter Pan.” Walt and his team of animators began working on the film during the 1930s but had to put it on hold until the late 1940s because of World War II. With a character image size of 8" x 9.25" on 9.25” x 11” paper in a 12.5” x 14” matte, the drawing, accomplished in graphite and colored pencil displays in good condition with creases, upper right corner folds, and stains, while the matte exhibits spotting and discoloration from age.
