(D. Gottlieb & Co., 1975) An original Abra Ca Dabra pinball machine manufactured by D. Gottlieb & Company. Featuring backglass, playfield, and cabinet artwork by Gordon Morrison, this sword and sorcery-themed machine is regarded as one of the best of the era. The playfield features two pop bumpers, two slingshots, two banks of five drop targets, a standup target, the original instruction cards on the half-moon credit window, and a manufacturer's certificate. An innovation unique to Gottlieb creations of the time, the game includes a moving lit drop target that scores a bonus value. The value increases by hitting the center target after getting all the drop targets, or completing the rollover sequence. The backbox contains a ball tracker dial and a five digit analog reel counter that registers scores up to 99,999. Both the backbox and the cabinet are stamped with the serial number "04489." The machine is accompanied by the original "Instructions" envelope containing a manual and mechanical diagrams. The backbox key is present. The machine does not contain a coinbox. While all wiring and circuitry appear to be intact, the machine has not been tested to preserve the integrity of the vintage electronics. Evaluation by a service technician is recommended before use. Measuring 68.75" tall, 26" wide, and 53.5" long, the piece is in good condition. The cabinet exhibits scattered scratches, scuffs, chips, and dings with minor crumbling to extremities. There are a few scratches to the playfield glass, crazing to the playfield artwork, and some wear to the metal legs and trim.
