(Disney, 1964) An original color study by Disney Legend Walt Peregoy for"The Jungle Book." Story man Bill Peet left Disney in January 1964, after clashing with Walt Disney over the tone of the film. Walt instructed writer Larry Clemmons and his team to bring a more family-friendly tone to the film. Peregoy's artwork, giving warm green hues to the jungle, set a brighter tone that aligned more closely with Walt's vision and the final version. Walt Peregoy signed and dated the piece"64". The art has an image size of 11.5" x 31.5" in a 20.5" x 41" glassless frame and features a 1984 dedication to a fan on the matte. The mixed-media art is in very good condition with spots of paint loss, while the frame is in good condition with tape residue, scratches, scuffs, and wear.
