(Disney, 1950s) A Walt Disney’s Studio Restaurant menu signed by Walt Disney himself. Also known as “The Commissary,” the restaurant was The Place to be on the Lot, where employees and guests rubbed elbows with actors and talent. Walt was regularly seen eating his lunch there, unlike the typical Hollywood Studio head. The interior of the menu has been signed by Walt in blue pen with the inscription, “To Annette, Walt Disney.” Included is a letter from Walt Disney Archives founder Dave Smith certifying that the signature is authentic. Measuring 8.5” x 11” and 9” x 12.5” when opened, the menu displays in very good condition with light stains, discoloration from age, smudges, edge wear, and a 1.25” tear at the bottom of the fold.
