(Federation of Screen Cartoonists, 1938) A signed receipt for animator Grim Natwick’s quarterly dues for the Federation of Screen Cartoonists, Walt Disney Studio’s company-based union. Myron "Grim" Natwick was a renowned animator who worked for several animation studios throughout his career, including Iwerks Studio, Walter Lantz Productions, UPA, and most famously, Fleischer Studios, where he created the iconic Betty Boop. He also worked at Walt Disney Animation Studios, where he served as a lead animator on "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," contributing to some of the film’s most memorable scenes featuring Snow White herself. Under his mentorship, several of Grim's assistants became animation legends themselves, including Walter Lantz, Chuck Jones, and Marc Davis. The signed receipt measures 5” x 3” and is in fine condition.
