(Hallmark, 1945) An extremely rare printing proof of artwork for a greeting card featuring Disney Legend Mary Blair’s designs from the “Las Posadas” segment of the 1944 Disney film “The Three Caballeros.” In 1941 Blair was asked by Disney to join the Studio's expedition to South America and due to her design and color prowess, was given the role of art supervisor on “The Three Caballeros.” Blair was then chosen as the color stylist for “Cinderella,” “Alice in Wonderland,” “Peter Pan,” and several theatrical shorts. It was her conceptual work and styling that set the tone for the first three features of the Studio in the 1950s. Her early concepts are considered by many collectors to be some of the most desirable and important artwork to come out of the Studio. Hand-signed by Blair on the lower right and presented in an 11.25” x 13.25” mat with a 4.75” x 6.25” window in a 13.75” x 15.75” frame, the postcard is in very good condition with light wear.
