(Goff, 1930s-40s) A set of 63 photos of film backlots from the collection of Harper Goff. Best known for "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea", earlier Goff was an uncredited set designer on a range of films including "The Adventures of Don Juan" and "Casablanca." These photos show mostly empty standing sets on studio backlots including western, Spanish, and European streets on the Universal and Warner Brothers backlots, and more. Some photos include a single man standing in the center for scale reference, or signs of another production in progress. Measuring from 4" x 4" up to 11" x 10.5", the fiber based photos are in very good condition, with some edge wear including small corner creases often only in the borders, and much toning.
